Gazprom says continues 2018 borrowings program

MOSCOW, Aug 7 (PRIME) -- Gazprom continues with a 417 billion ruble debt program for 2018, a spokesperson for Gazprom told PRIME on Tuesday, a day after Reuters reported citing banking sources that the gas giant suspended its foreign debt program over a legal dispute with Naftogaz Ukrainy

“Gazprom continues implementation of a program of financial borrowings for 2018 in accordance with the budget approved by the company’s board of directors in December 2017,” he said.

In December 2017, Gazprom’s board of directors approved a budget and investment program for 2018 at 1.278 trillion rubles and a program of financial borrowings at 416.971 billion rubles.

Deputy CEO Andrei Kruglov said in June that Gazprom plans to fulfill the 2018 debt program in full and has already fulfilled it by almost 50%.
